i really got frustrated as there were no leads on this issue,
i did download the patch 1.1 there were two files in it a pc_monitor .exe and a system monitor file

When double clicking the installation rar file it says no prior installations od EL matador were found and to install El matador first.

When i pasted both the files on top of the existing files in the installed location There seems to be no difference to the problem
Typhoon2/matador/MatadorGame.cpp error
Call stack:
(0): pc_matador.exe at ?()
(0): pc_matador.exe at ?()
(0): kernel32.dll at ...

Any other work arounds for this???
If still no solutions i guess i might as well mail the support team, but are you sure it will run on a Win Vista machine with intel G965 chipset(X3100 onboard GMA)?
As far as I know, this game doesn't support Vista But anyway send e-mail to support.

"I`m afraid you won`t be able to play the game as your graphics card does not
meet minimum requiremens of the game..Integrated/mobile graphics cards are
not ment for gaming and are not supported by many games. You need Ati or
Nvidia card to be able to run the game (more details in manual - min. req.)"

Well thts the reply i got from support but some how i still feel like i can tweak it to play coz x3100 GMA is at par with GeForce 6(or so says all the reviews that compared the two)

Well if anybody else has any ideas please help

I have this problem with El Matador on my GTX260 (same as with my old 8800GTX) where the shadows are heavily corrupted, meaning the shadows are not rendered correctly and poppup on surfaces (in the form of lines, blocks, squares...) where there should be no shadows and also the shadows follow the player as he moves most of the time (hard to describe).

Please don't tell me to update my drivers or other obvious stuff because I tried nearly everything imaginable to get rid of that corruption. My system is perfectly clean.

So, is there any way around this issue?

Please note that the shadow corruption seems to only occure on Nvidia chipsets on G80 and higher. On ATI GPUs the issue does NOT occure.....

Btw, this is a great game, I just love the old-school gameplay and the texturing is on of the finest I have ever seen. I love it, but obviously can't enjoy it.

support@1cpublishing.com seems to be dead

I accept with information: Assertion Failed error
Assertion failed: ”\Typhoon2\matador\Matadorgame.ccp” Condition on line 101 not satisfied
Call stack:
(0): pc_matador.exe at ?()
(0): pc_matador.exe at ?()
(0): kernel32.dll at RegisterWaitForInputIdle()
All drivers updated. Nothing helps.
Even tried the tip about forcing refreshrate.
