Default Very strange UK purchase options

I can't be the only one that finds it strange that in the UK you can only purchase the game via Ubi or steam.

On this board we have people telling us they have purchased the game on the street in Germany and oz, why not in the UK?

I have checked play and shopto but nothing. I have already preordered the CE from Ubi and hopefully it will arrive on Thursday, but its by far and away the worst site I have ever purchased anything from no response after the first email not even to tell me when the game was delayed, pretty shoddy to be perfectly honest will not be using them again if I can help it.

You can buy it from direct2drive. i thought yesterday it was cheaper but now its 50 euros or 30 pounds. I already preordered on steam since d2d is usually a day late with unlocking.

If you are referring to physical copies: It looks like some places are breaking street date. Don't fret over it too much. They won't be able to play the Europe/AUS version any sooner than you. It is attached to a Steam account, and that won't let you play it in your region until the official release date.

Ive been thinking exactly that. I'd have thought that Amazon at least would have had it. Whats the story with these downloads? Can you only download it once or can you go back any time and re-download it. Ive got Black Shark and Flaming Cliffs 2.0 and i can download these anytime i need to with the activation key showing on the website when i log in.

Will Cliffs of Dover be the same? I really would prefer a hard copy but £50 for the collectors edition seems a bit steep
